Abstract: Achieving universal education is one of the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030. Education as a basic human right must be afforded to all mankind including those with disabilities. Zimbabwe has embarked on inclusive education after institutionalization and integration failed to yield desired results. Children with disabilities learn alongside their peers in mainstream classes. The research conducted in Khami district showed that the government is committed through training of teachers. Most teachers in the district are capacitated to implement inclusive education through training at colleges or universities. Teachers are also empowered through district workshops and staff development. However the challenge faced is shortage of resources and lack of proper infrastructure.
