dc.description.abstractThe study focuses on the electoral system, election management and democracy in Zimbabwe. The study primarily focuses on how the electoral system in Zimbabwe influence democracy. Essential to this research is to critically look at the factors that impede the electoral system to achieve democracy. The research questions were therefore a replica of the objectives of the research so as to come up with a feasible research with worthy recommendations in the last chapter. It must be noted that in data collection, thus the research methodology the researcher used both qualitative and quantitative methods so as to ensure the authenticity of the data collected. The major findings in the research were that election management (process) has got loopholes that manifest into distrust and help corruption intervene and eventually causes biases in the result outcome of elections and the electoral agency has an open-door scrutiny to the current political party which is in control of the government therefore creating unending disputes with other political parties. It is therefore recommended that electoral law must provide for full autonomy of Zimbabwe Electoral Commissionen_US
